Interpretation / Description

Konchog Yanlag, 5th Shamar Rinpoche (1526-1583)

The central figure in the teaching gesture is the 5th Shamarpa, Konchog Yanlag. In the upper right corner is the deity of long-life, Ushnishavijaya, with three faces and eight arms. Below is the Karma Trinleypa and resting under him is the 4th Gyaltsab, Dragpa Dondrup wearing a red crown. In the bottom right-hand corner are the Shingkyong (father-mother) protector deities.
