Interpretation / Description

Palchen Chokyi Dondrub, 8th Shamar Rinpoche (1695-1732).

The central figure of the composition is Palchen Chokyi Dondrub. In the upper left corner on a flying bird sits a form of Chakrasamvara. The figure wearing a red hat holding a vajra and skull cup is Tagsham Nuden Dorje (1655-1708), a Nyingma terton from Kham. Below him is the Sixth Pawo Rinpoche, Tsuglag Dondrub (1701-1718). Finally, the figure beneath is identified as Karma Namdrol. The protectress at the lower left is Tashi Tseringma riding a lion.
