Interpretation / Description

Shrine Box intended for housing a sculpture most likely of a revered teacher.

The left side of the box has eight figures beginning at the top and descending are Vajradhara, Tilopa, Naropa, Marpa, Mila and three monastic figures. The eight figures on the right side of the box are Vajradhara followed by a female deity, and then what is very likely to be Padampa Sanggye and a lay student with long hair, three monastics and another lay person.
