Interpretation / Description

Saukarika, the Swine Herder, #25 from the group of Eighty-four Mahasiddhas according to the Vajrasana system of enumeration.

Inscription: བྲམ་ཟེ་སངས་རྒྱས་དངོས་དང་མཇལ། དགེ་བསྙེན་ལུས་ལ་དངོས་གྲུབ་བརྙེས། ཕག་ཚང་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ཡི། བླ་མ་དེ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། ཨོཾ་སུ་པྲ་ཏིཤྠ་བཛྲ་ཡེ་སྭ་ཧཱ།

Translation:
"Made at Nyug, given to the Great Assembly."

"A Brahmin who actually saw the Buddha,
Gaining the attainments in the form of a layman vow-holder,
Known as the Swine Herder,
To that teacher I bow.
Om supra tishta vajraye svaha."
