Interpretation / Description

Ngorchen Kunga Zangpo 1382-1456 [P1132].

The sculpture set was commissioned by Gyaltsab Kunga Wangchug, 4th Ngor Khenchen (1424-1478). He was a direct student of Ngorchen Kunga Zangpo (1382-1456). Ngor Monastery was founded in 1429 by Ngorchen. Kunga Wangchug assumes office in 1465. (See HAR #2813 and 12577).
