Interpretation / Description

Drenpa Namkha.

At the center of the composition is Drenpa Namkha. At the lower left is Tsewang Rigdzin. At the lower left is Yungdrung Tongdrol.

The famous teacher Drenpa Namka is believed to be the father of both Tsewang Rigdzin and Yungdrung Tongdrol who are sometimes described as twin brothers and at other times having two different mothers. In this Bon tradition, Yungdrung Tongdrol, sometimes referred to as Pema Tongdrol, is understood as the same entity as the Buddhist figure Padmasambhava.
