Interpretation / Description

Karma Pakshi.

The 2nd Gyalwa Karmapa, Karma Pakshi (1204-1283) is in the center of the composition. Above him in the upper-right corner is Jinasagara Lokesvara, below in the lower left is Tashi Dragpa, a pre-incarnation to the Shamarpa tulku line. The monk facing outwards is a servant and adjacent to him is the minister of Mongolia (hor rgyal blon). Directly beneath Karma Pakshi is Damchen Garwa Nagpo.
