Interpretation / Description

Tsongkapa surrounded by life-story narrative scenes. At the top is the Red Fort of Songtsen Gampo and at the bottom is the Lhasa Cathedral, Tsuglhakang (Jowo Lhakang). This painting belongs to a set of unknown number and does not conform to the standard set composition created by Jamyang Shepa in the early 1700s. (This painting has no brocade mount).
