Shakyamuni Buddha with the Thirty-five Confession Buddhas according to the system of Nagarjuna (9/10th century).
In the top two horizontal registers and partially in the third register are the Thirty-five Confession Buddhas according to the unusual and controversial system attributed to an author with the name Nagarjuna.
Standing to the proper right and left sides of the Buddha are the bodhisattvas Avalokiteshvara and Manjushri, identified by their unique attributes. Descending at the right and left sides of the Buddha are the Sixteen Great Elders (sthavira).
On the left side and three tiers down from the top is an inscription for Tsongkapa. Four tiers down is an inscription for Khedrub Padma Gye. At five tiers down there is an inscription for Khedrub Chagdor Gyatso.
On the left side and three tiers down there is an inscription for Trulku Tongwa Donden. Four tiers down is an inscription for Jambei Yang ... Sherab ... Five tiers down is an inscription for Drubchen Tsultrim Gyatso.
The front of the throne is decorated with a hanging textile and the figure of Heruka Vajrabhairava. At the right side of the throne there is an inscription for Genyen Dharma. The patron Hvashang is located on the opposite side of the throne.
A donor figure is in the bottom left corner along with an Amitayus above and an attendant figure in front with two Jambhala, yellow and black, in a cartouche. At the bottom center is Shri Devi Magzor Gyalmo with two attendants and the four goddesses of the seasons. At the lower right side are the five Tseringma sisters.
