Interpretation / Description

Tendzin Rabgye (1638-1696): the fourth patriarch of the Drukpa Kagyu School of Bhutan.

Biographical Details

At the top left is the mad yogi of Tibet, Drukpa Kunleg. At the right side is a lay lama. At the middle right and left stand attendant monks with two seated lamas below. At the bottom center is the tutelary deity Guru Drag-pur, with Avalokiteshvara Simhanada at the left and Buddha Akshobhya at the right.
