Interpretation / Description

Ashokattamshri Buddha (pink).

Seated at the upper left (viewer's side) is Dudtsi Drag (1153-1232), 4th in the Nartang Monastery lineage. On the right side is Chim Namkha Drag (1210-1285), 7th in the Nartang lineage. Each figure has a Tibetan name inscription.

The composition most likely belongs to a nine painting Medicine Buddha set of paintings.
