Khedrub Khyungpo Naljor (b. 978/990, d.1127): founder of the Shangpa Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. (Biographical details).
At the center of the composition is Khyungpo Naljor wearing monastic attire and a pandita hat. The right hand is extended across the knee and the left holds the stem of a flower blossom supporting a sword and book.
At the top center is Shakyamuni Buddha. To the lower right and left are the two female teachers Niguma and Sukhasiddhi.
Seated at the lower left side, dark in complexion and having a white beard, is Tangtong Gyalpo. Seated on the right side and wearing monastic clothes is possibly Kunga Drolchog or Taranata. At the bottom center is Jamgon Kongtrul.
