Akshobhya, Buddha (Tibetan: mi kyu pa, sang gye. English: the Unshakable, Enlightened One). The Buddha of the eastern quarter of the mandala, surrounded by numerous forms of Green and White Tara.
Dark blue in colour with one face and two hands the right is extended across the knee in the earth touching mudra (gesture) while holding a gold vajra scepter. The left hand is placed palm upward in the lap in the the mudra of meditation. Seated in vajra posture atop a lotus cushion and elephant supported throne he is surrounded by an orange and red nimbus and green aureola.
