Interpretation / Description

Padmasambhava (Tibetan: pe ma jung ne. English: the Lotus Born), from the Ngar Pan Yontan Terdzo.

Padmasambhava is one of the three people traditionally credited with the founding of Tibetan Buddhism in the 8th century. He holds in the extended right hand a vajra scepter and a skullcup in the left.
