Interpretation / Description

Gampopa Sonam Rinchen.

In the center is Gampopa Sonam Rinchen. At the top right is Buddha Shakyamuni, with Gampopa's nephew, Gompo Tsutrim Nyingpo, directly below him in meditation posture. Beneath Gompo is Barom Dharma Wangchuk, one of Gampopa's four principal disciples and the founder of Barom Kagyu. Below Barom Dharma Wangchuk is Phagmo Drukpa Dorje Gyalpo, followed by Gomchung Sherab Jangchub, another of Gampopa's nephews. On Gampopa's lower left is Layakpa Jangchub Ngodrub.
