Interpretation / Description

Chodrag Gyatso, 7th Karmapa.

In the center is Chodrag Gyatso, performing the teaching gesture at the heart. In the upper-left corner is Vajravidarana, a purification deity. The red-hatted lama with a mala in hand is Chodrag Gyatso's student, the 4th Shamar, Chokyi Dragpa. Below him wearing a pandita hat is Penchen Shagchog. To the bottom-right is the Second Tai Situ, Tashi Namgyal.
