Interpretation / Description

The First Sangye Nyenpa, Tashi Paljor (1457-1519)

The central figure with white hair in meditation is Tashi Paljor. In the upper right hand corner is Khasarpani Avalokitesvara. The figure holding sticks of incense is a servant. The yellow deity in the bottom right of the composition is a form of Vaishravana.
