Wangchug Dorje, 9th Karmapa (1556-1603)
In the center is the 9th Karmapa in the teaching gesture in the right, holding a long-life vase in the left. In the upper-left corner is White Tara Wish-Fulfilling Wheel, a female deity of long-life with seven eyes, one face and two hands. Below her is Wangchug Dorje's student, 5th Tai Situ Chokyi Gyaltsen (1560-1632), wearing a red crown. Underneath is the 3rd Nenang Pawo, Tsuglag Gyatso (1567-1630), also a student. Beneath is another disciple, Yongzin Namgyal Dragpa, who is a prolific writer on logic. In the lower right corner stands a servant holding an incense burner.
