Interpretation / Description

Mipam Chokyi Wangchug, 6th Shamar Incarnation.

The central figure in a teaching gesture is the 6th Shamar Rinpoche (1584-1630). In the top right-corner is the ishtadevata Kurukulla. The figure below wearing an red crown is the 5th Gyaltsab, Dragpa Chogyang (1617-1658). The figure holding a mala is the 4th Zurmang Trungpa, Kunga Namgyal (1567 – 1629). The bottom-most figure is Karma Chagme (1613 – 1678).
